We have highlighted four areas where training is required if strong cell church models are going to be established in the UK.
The first is the need for senior leaders to understand the values and structures of the cell model in depth. To enable this we run Residential Leadership Training for church leaders and some Youth Cell Training for youth leaders. These are modular, residential courses with two days of training per module and two or three modules spread over a year. Details can be found via the links opposite.
Second, we realise the need to give access to the cell model for those wanting initial concepts and information. To enable this we run an introduction to cell track as part of our Saturday training days.
Third, we want to equip those who are running cells on a week-by-week basis, we offer cell leader training which is designed for those currently leading cells and their trainees. This runs in parallel with the supervisor training as part of the one-day Saturday conference with either an adult or youth focus.
Fourth, we recognise the importance of training cell supervisors who look after two or three cell leaders. This is a crucial role and one that makes all the difference to the support and success of a cell leader. Recognising this need, we run two stages of supervisor training as part of our one-day training Saturdays. These are offered a number of times through the year, with either an adult or youth focus.
